In 1990, Advent Security Services Pty ltd was born. With just one client and a couple of casual security guards, the business has grown steadily since its inception, delivering high-quality security services with quality and trust.
Since its humble beginnings, Advent has served a variety of businesses large and small, from its very first client, Coles in Bourke St Melbourne, to DHL, Linfox and IKEA.
Advent CEO, Peter (PJ) Benney, reflects on the individuals that made Advent Security, thanking all the clients the business has had the pleasure of servicing throughout the years:
I would like to thank the thousands of staff, Security Guards, Crowd Controllers, Consultants, Private Investigators, LPOs we had back in the day and surveillance operators – All served the Advent Brand well, a lot of the then staff are now clients or bearing an employment office in the upper ranks to those I say well done It’s pleasing to see young guys and gals who started in such humble beginnings get on and prosper in their life.
The team has also grown its inventory of services, initially offering guard services, to now expanding to include electronics, consulting and investigative services with a hands on management team that understands the needs of their clients.
With good memories (and some not so!) Advent is thriving and going from strength to strength, with a portfolio of clients today that cover a range of industries from health providers to the retail sector, finance industry, corporate organisation and entertainment businesses.
In 2019, Advent Security vic scored 94.28% for customer satisfaction in the 2019 Australian Achiever Awards for Australia’s Security Industry; Guard & Patrol Services category. The award system focuses on seven criteria, each scored separately, namely: Time Related Service, Addressing Client Needs, Care and Attention, Value, Attitude, Communication and Overall Perception.
As Advent Security celebrates its 30th year of trading, the team would like to thank each and every individual who helped build the business to become what it is today. As we grow for the next 30 years and beyond, we endeavour to continue providing high quality and professional services for a range of industries locally and internationally.
