What could security incidents be costing your organisation?

Use your organisation's own incident history to get a quick, indicative estimate of annual security-related financial exposure — then see relevant Australian industry evidence and discover where a detailed security assessment could uncover further risk.

Uses your information only. No confidential incident narrative required. Your result is indicative, not an actuarial forecast.

YOUR INDICATIVE ANNUAL SECURITY EXPOSURE
—

Based on the incident frequency and average loss you reported.

No reported incidents selected. Zero reported incidents does not mean zero security risk — the calculator reflects reported incidents only. A detailed assessment can identify vulnerabilities not yet producing a recorded loss.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Your questions answered

It uses the number of security incidents and average financial loss you report to calculate an indicative annual exposure range. Industry and organisation-scale information provides context and segmentation rather than an invented security-loss rate.
No. It is an indicative decision-support estimate based on your inputs, not an actuarial model, insurance valuation, financial forecast or guarantee.
Industry selection allows Advent to show relevant Australian evidence and explain context around the result. In V1, industry evidence does not replace your incident and loss inputs and does not affect your dollar estimate.
The evidence register uses approved Australian Government, statutory and recognised research sources — primarily the Australian Bureau of Statistics (Crime Victimisation 2024–25) and Safe Work Australia (Key WHS Statistics 2024; Work-related Injuries 2022–23). Source, scope and limitation are shown alongside each statistic.
A zero reported-incident result does not mean zero security risk. The calculator reflects reported incidents only. A detailed assessment can identify vulnerabilities that have not yet produced a recorded loss.
The calculator uses representative values for selected bands and applies a ±10% presentation range. This is a planning and communication convention only — not a statistical confidence interval, actuarial bound or claim of accuracy.
These are open-ended categories. The calculator cannot assume an upper limit for these bands. The result is flagged as indicative and actual exposure may be significantly higher. A Detailed Security Risk Assessment is strongly recommended.
Advent can examine sites, assets, access pathways, existing controls, incident history, operating environment and relevant threats to identify, prioritise and recommend improvements.
